In the Alternative Education program, each student is on an individualized program which enables them to develop self-esteem, specific skills and attitudes that engender success.The core curriculum is Life Skills based in all subject areas, and heavy stress is placed on functional reading and math needs of everyday living. The program also involves a teacher supervised work experience, entrepreneurship projects, school and community spirit opportunities, and leisure activities.Tutorial support is available for students, in the Alternative Education program, who wish to enroll in other academic courses offered at the YRHS.
